The first self-priming rotary vane pumps were developed and made in the iron foundry of Hugo Stoz (the company founder) as long ago as 1925, and sold under the name of Sugo pumps.
Revolutionary at the time, they soon gained widespread acceptance and found uses in a variety of industrial undertakings, breweries, etc. for cooling conveying and lubricating purposes.
Pumps based on this exceptionally economical, easy-to-maintain design principle are still made in Weingarten today. Thanks to a continuous process of development, however, innovative hightech systems capable of a wide range of applications have long since evolved from those original Sugo pumps, e.g..

We use the latest CAD systems (Catia, Pro Engineer) in drawing up designs and, whenever possible and advisable, are able to resort to a comprehensive series of existing subassembly and componentdesigns. In this way, it does not take uslong to come up with the appropriate pump for the client‘s needs.
CAD data are transferred directly from our design office to our pattern-makingdepartment. As a result, prototypes areavailable, and can be used for initialtrial runs and tests, in the minimum of time.
